In February of 1889, the Dayton Cemetery Association was incorporated for the purpose of providing and maintaining a burial place. David Smith, an early settler, donated five acres of land for the cemetery.
Most of the information contained in these files were compiled by Mrs. Lucille Alley of Dayton, and we sincerely acknowledge her many hours of hard work. We would also like to thank the following Town of Dayton employees for their assistance in this project:
