Tentative meeting schedule for the 2007 - 2008

Monthy Cheyenne Genealogical Society meetings and scheduled guest speaker programs are held on the second Tuesday of the month unless otherwise notified. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and the business meetings begin at 6:30 p.m. The speaker programs, open to the public, are held from 7:00 until 8:45 p.m.

November 13, 2007

Meeting will be held in the Willow Room on the 1 st floor of the new Laramie County Library. An informative program about the new indexing project which is underway at the Family History Library in Salt Lake City will be presented by Melanie Bosselman.

December 11, 2007

This will be our traditional holiday meeting to set the tone for the holidays. It will be held in the Willow Room new Laramie County Library. All members are invited to bring a dessert, hors d'oeuvres or culinary delight to share with the members. Elaine Hayes will present a program on obtaining copies of newspapers and other research documents by Inter-Library Loan.

January 8, 2008

Bert Budd will present the program for this meeting. His topic will be ‘What is in a Name'. The meeting will be held in a Laramie County Library meeting room.

February 12, 2008

Jane Carpenter of Carpenter Genealogical Services will present a program “Dead End -Brick Wall - Come Learn the 4 P's of Central Eastern U.S. Research”. The meeting will be held in a Laramie County Library meeting room.

March 11, 2008

Henry “Hank' Miller will present a program on Research of Military records for WWII. The meeting will be held in a Laramie County Library meeting room.

April 8, 2008

Bob Larson of Fort Collins will present a program on using the GenSmarts Genealogy Software.

May 13, 2008

Society Annual Meeting & Dinner . Location to be determined at a later date.

GENEALOGY COMPUTER INTEREST GROUP

The society's Computer Interest Group meets regularly on the first Thursday of each month, September through June, for computer use and Internet genealogy discussions.

Join the group at 6:30 p.m. in a meeting room of the Laramie County Library. Workshops and computer related assistance for those who need it is provided until 8:45 p.m. Programs and meeting schedules will be posted in the genealogy society's newsletter.

All Society members and guests are welcome to attend.
