My Dearest Mother,

I am staying at Alice’s home. They are sure treating me grand. I feel as if I am home again when I come here. I have not asked Alice outright but I expect to be accepted before I go back this time. Her sister, Eunice is here and she has a couple of kiddies and they both call me Uncle Don! Can you imagine your little Donnie being called uncle Don? Be sure to write soon and if you have not sent Alice the photo please send it on.

Give my love to all,

Your Loving son Donald Ross.
