HARRIS, Joseph Henry died at Harris Ferry, W.Va. on Friday morning January 29, 1875 of congestion of the brain. Joseph Henry was the eldest son of John M. and Eliza J. Harris. Aged 19 years, 8 months and 22 days.

O'BRIEN, Mrs. We learn through the Richmond papers of the recent death of Mrs. O'Brien, mother of M.J. and W.S. O'Brien of Volcano, in this county. Mrs. O'Brien had a large circle of friends in this vicinity, having formerly resided at Burning Springs and in this city. Her sons received tidings of her serious illness by telegraph, and started immediately to Richmond, arriving just in time to receive her dying benedictions. Mrs. O'Brien was a woman of many excellent virtues, a noble Christian mother, and her death will be mourned by all who knew her.

PENNYBACKER, Mrs. Elizabeth a lady well known for her excellence of character and Christian virtues, was buried last Sabbath. Her funeral obsequies were held at the M. E. Church South, of which church she was a prominent member. Mr. Miller preached the sermon. She was aged 76.
