Take Rt. 50 East out of Parkersburg for about 9 miles to the Murphytown/Montgomery Hill Rd. exit. (This will be the second Murphytown exit.) Turn right onto Murphytown Road and travel about ¾ mile to Grant Hill Road. Turn left onto Grant Hill Rd. and travel 1.1 miles. The cemetery sits along the road on the left side. This cemetery is on property that was once owned by the Grant and Barrett families of Murphytown. There have been very few burials in recent years.
The cemetery is occasionally mowed but not very well cared for. Many of the stones are in very poor condition. Many have fallen over and/or are broken. Many are very old, weather worn and difficult to read. Complete accuracy cannot be guaranteed.
