Take Rt. 50 East out of Parkersburg for about 12 miles. Turn right onto Progress Ridge Road. Travel about 2 miles on Progress Ridge. A sign for the cemetery will be on the left. At the sign, take the gravel road up the hill. The cemetery is owned by the Cooley Chapel United Methodist Church which was established in 1904. There is a committee that raises money to maintain the cemetery. The president of this committee is Riley Hewitt (304) 679-3314. The cemetery is still active and well maintained. In addition to the transcription, there is 1 grave marked with a rock, 1 grave marked with a concrete marker with no information, and 1 funeral home marker with no information.
