KYOWVA Genealogical and Historical Society
Our library occupies a large room in the lower level of the Second Presbyterian Church Building, 901 Jefferson Avenue in Huntington. Entrance is through the double doors nearest the alley corner on the 9th Street West side of the building.
One half of the room is a large research area with plenty of tables and comfortable seating. Book shelves line the walls at the other end. A copier is available as well as wireless internet access for those with laptop computers. Restrooms are just down the hall on the same floor.
Our resources cover the tri-state area of Kentucky, Ohio and West Virginia. We also have materials from Virginia. On file are hundreds of newsletters from the more than eighty genealogical societies and organizations we exchange newsletters with. We are proud of our library and grateful to those who have contributed to make it a success. We invite you to stop in and visit us.
The library is open Wednesday and Saturday from 9 am to 1 pm. Sunday hours are available by appointment. Everyone is welcome. Your KYOWVA membership includes free use of the library. Non-members are requested to make a small donation on each visit to help support the library.
