First Families

First Families of Cabell County will honor and document ancestors and their descendants who lived in Cabell County by 31 December 1809. Only members of the KYOWVA Genealogical and Historical Society may apply for membership in First Families of Cabell County. Applicants must prove descent from an individual living within the boundaries of Cabell County from 31 December 1809.

Settlers and Builders

Settlers and Builders of Cabell County will honor and document ancestors and their descendants who lived in Cabell County by 1 January 1825. Only members of the KYOWVA Genealogical and Historical Society may apply for membership in Settlers and Builders of Cabell County. Applicants must prove descent from an individual living within the boundaries of Cabell County from 1 January, 1825.

The Huntingtonian

The Huntingtonian will honor and document ancestors and their descendants who lived in Huntington, WV from 27 February 1871 and prior to December 31, 1910. Only members of the KYOWVA Genealogical and Historical Society may apply for membership in The Huntingtonian. Applicants must prove descent from an individual living within the boundaries of Huntington from 27 February 1871.

All applications are available at the KYOWVA GHS Library and printable univeral application form is available here at the KYOWVA GHS Forms page. The records used for documentation become the property of KYOWVA Genealogical and Historical Society and may be viewed at the Society Library.
