Welcome to the Boone County Genealogical website. The Boone County Genealogical Society was established in the fall of 1975 for the purpose of gathering information about the people of Boone County, West Virginia as well as adjacent areas. It is our desire to preserve the ancestry and history of these areas and to make this information available to others that may be interested. Membership to this society is open to anyone who wishes to become a member. Our membership has grown from less than ten to over two hundred from all over the United States. Meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month at the Boone Madison Public Library, 375 Main Street, Madison, WV at 7:30 p.m. The public is invited to attend these meetings, membership is not required. |
