State Historical Society of WI - This links the Archives and Library divisions. A new research page, titled "For Researchers" will point users in the appropriate direction.

A searchable database of obituaries, biographaphical sketches, and newspaper articles that span roughly 1870-1970.

The Wisconsin Gen Web Page

The archives in Stevens Point houses pre-1907 records for Adams, Forest, Juneau, Langlade, Lincoln, Marathon,Oneida, Portage, Vilas, Waupaca, Waushara and Wood Counties. They also have pre-1948 divorce records. Cost is about $5.00 for a look-up and .25 a copy. e-mail ARCHIVES@uwsp.edu with your request. An invoice will be sent.
