October 10 - 11, 2008 Black Genealogy Research Group of Seattle (BGRG) hosts the 8th Annual West Coast African-American Genealogy Summit in Seattle. Speaker will be Dr. Quintard Taylor, Jr. He specializes in "African American History in the American West." He is the author of "In Search of Racial Frontier: African American West 1528-1990" and "The Forging of a Black Community" A History of Seattle's Central District, 1870 through Civil Rights Era" as well as several other articles.
