SKCGS Monthly General Meetings
The meetings take place at the First Baptist Church of Kent, 11420 SE 248th St., Kent (Map). 9:30 a.m. Social time prior to meeting at 10 a.m. For information call:

Look for the answer to the question: "In what database might you find gggrandfather's deed?" hidden in the new edition of the So King
News. Write your name and your answer on a 3 x 5 index card or slip of paper and bring it to the May meeting (index cards will also be available at
the sign-in table).
The winner drawn from correct entries will receive a $10.00 Gift Certificate.

Drawing to be held at the meeting, you must be present to win!

Meeting Topic: Kurt E. Armbruster, author of "Orphan Road, The Railroad Comes to Seattle, 1853 - 1911." Kurt will tell us about
the many challenges of getting train service in the White River Valley, King County and Seattle.
Kurt E. Armbruster is a Seattle resident and a University of Washington graduate. An expert on Puget Sound railroads, he has published numerous
articles in historical and railway journals. Three years of intense research and writing went into the preparation of his book, Orphan
Road.
