Lower Columbia Genealogical Society
Organized in 1963,
the society joined with the Longview Public Library in
1980 to create a genealogy book collection and provide
genealogical information and research help to area
residents. Money raised from society dues and
projects purchases research materials for The Genealogy
Room collection at the Longview Public Library.
Meetings & Membership
Please join us. Attend
interesting and informative monthly meetings. Help
increase the genealogical resources in The Genealogy Room,
and help the society publish local records.
Meetings: The
Lower Columbia Genealogical Society meets at 7 p.m. on
the first Thursday of each month at Delaware Plaza, 926
Delaware, Longview, Washington. The LCGS board
meets at 10 a.m. on the fourth Saturday of each month at
the Longview Public Library.
Membership: Membership
dues are $15 for an individual and $22.50 for a family, (see
membership form) and include four issues of
The Key , the Society quarterly newsletter.

Queries - Research
Help in Local Records by Mail
Researchers living out of the area may request searches
of local historical records for a small fee. Lower
Columbia Genealogical Society will do research for a fee
of $5.00 per hour, payable in advance, with a one hour
minimum charge, plus any copies and extra postage. Email
Queries. Make checks payable to LCGS and please
include a large self-addressed stamped envelope with your
query and mail to:

Newsletter Queries
The society newsletter, The Key, is
published four times per year. Genealogical queries are
free to society members and $2 for four lines for non-members.
