The Lewis County Genealogical Society meets on the third tuesday of the month, at the Lewis County Museum, 599 NW Front Street, Chehalis, WA 98532, (please use the front entrance). Meetings start at 7:00 pm, and have interesting topics pertaining to genealogical research.

NEW - Cemeteries of Lewis County

The Lewis County area cemeteries page has been updated to show the names and AKA (also known as) names, by location. On our newsletter page, we have the past two years of newsletters sorted by subject/topic, and available for viewing/printing in pdf format. Pioneer Pie Social

The Lewis County Historical Museum will host a "Pioneer Pie Social" at the Historic Claquato Church in conjunction with the celebration of the Church's 150th Birthday Celebration. They are planning a full day of events, starting at 10am, admission is free. Contact the Lewis County Historical Museum for more information.

Air Fair

August 2, Chehalis

Happening at the Chehalis-Centralia Airport from 10 am until dusk. Static and flying aircraft displays of vintage, antique, ultra light and warbirds. Enjoy food and children's booths, picnic area, shuttle service, live entertainment, and free admission.

Annual Blueberry Pancake Breakfast

Southwest Washington State Fair

August 12-17

Come to the SW Washington Fair: It's a Sooey-eet Deal! The Southwest Washington Fair remains an old-fashioned country fair complete with cow, horse and poultry judging, 4-H displays, a quilt show, flower judging, and more. Chehalis Garlic Fest & Craft Show

August 22-24, SW Washington Fairgrounds, Chehalis

Labor Day Flea Market & Fire Association Breakfast

August 29 - Sept 1, Packwood

Just like the Memorial Day Flea Market but bigger! If there is anything you ever thought you would need but couldn't find, come to the Packwood Labor Day Flea Market. The whole town is bursting with vendors selling a wide variety of foods and everything imaginable. For the shopper in your house, the market runs Saturday through Monday starting at 9am daily and continues until approximately 6pm, depending on weather and your stamina. The society accepts donations of $10.00 per hour plus copy fees and postage. Include all pertinent information i.e. Date of Birth, Date of Death, Place of Death, First Name, and Last Name. A SASE would speed up the process. Send a written request to address above.
