Island County

GSSWI is located in Island County, Washington, in Puget Sound. Whidbey Island is the 40th largest island in the United States (fifth longest and fifth largest island in the contiguous United States), and the largest in Washington. Completely surrounded by salt water, it is approximately sixty miles long and varies in width from one mile to about twelve miles. Whidbey Island is reached by two ferry routes and the scenic Deception Pass Bridge.
