COVEY, Vera Alta Harman, 87, of Snowville, died Thursday, December 17, 1992 in a Dublin nursing home. She was the widow of Thomas Wise Covey. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Albert W. and Eunice Covey of Radford; a son, William David Covey of Snowville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Ruth C. and William Withers of Lynchburg, and Ellen C. and Frank Moore of Draper; one sister, Mary India Bane of Christiansburg; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday from the DeVilbiss Funeral Chapel with Mr. C.E. Mannon officiating. Interment will follow in the Covey Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the DeVilbiss Funeral Home.
