Page County was taken from parts of Shenandoah
County and Rockingham County in March,
1831, the biggest portion coming
from Shenandoah County. John Page was a member of the
first Congress and later a Governor of VA and for whom the county is named.
The county seat is Luray and was established in 1812.

county coordinator and your hostess for the Page County, Virginia AHGP
