A copy from the Records of the Virginia Land Office of the
courses and distances of tract of land containing one hundred
and fifty-seven acres by survey bearing date the 18 day of July,
1795, lying in the County of Wythe in Pine Run, a branch of New
River and patented to George May on the 18th day of October, 1795.
Beginning at a hickory, white oak and Service Saplings South one
degree West thirty-four poles to a Red oak and hickory, S. 42
degrees, E. 40 poles to a black oak and chestnut oak S. 28 E.
48 poles to a white oak and black oak N. 80 E. 105 poles to a
large black oak N. 26 W. 10 poles to a Spanish oak in Sowthen's
line thence along said line N. 54 W. 180 poles to a large white
oak a corner to said line N. 83 E. 65 poles to a white oak N.
30 E. 130 poles a corner to Randle Fugate's line thence with said
line North 39 W. 40 poles to three Red oak saplings North fifteen
degrees West forty-four poles to a chestnut and black oak South
80 W. 120 poles to three Black oaks N. 74 W. 62 poles to three
black oaks. South 60 degrees West 28 poles to a hickory and white
oak S. 8 W. 78 poles to a white oak on H. Honaker's line S. 14
E. 44 poles to a white oak in a Hollow S. 75 E. 64 poles to the
beginning.
