This will somehow survived the fire that destroyed the King and Queen County Court House in 1865. It was found in the Circuit Clerk's Office in the old chancery cases files in box 12.

I Waller Schools of King and Queen county do make this my last will in manner following; After the payment of my just debts I lend to my wife Rebecca Schools the whole of my estate both real and personal so long as she remains my widow, but if she should marry again I then should lend to her one third part of my estate and the remainder to be equally divided amongst all my children to them and their heirs forever; this my will and desire that my wife Rebecca Schools shall retain posession of the negro woman Martha and her future (?)increase to be bequeathed to me by the last will and testament of my deceased father George Schools during my life and then to be divided among my children during her widowhood and if either of my children shall dis possess her of the same, it is my will that they are to have no part of my estate. Given under my hand and seal this 13th day of May 1843.
