In the name of God, Amen. I Lewis Broocke, of the County of King and Queen and parish of St. Stephens doth make this my last will + testament (that is to say) First, I give to my wife Elizabeth Broocke a woman named Sally which was given her by her fathear for maid I also give her a girl named Phillis to be hers foreaver in case that she should die I wish her to will them to my son Peter as he is aflicted I wis my Exector or my administrator to bind Lewis E. Broocke to the hous for and carpenters trade. I also give him a boy named Henry to him and his hers forever
I give to my Daughter Frances A E Broocke a girl named Nanny to her and her laful hers begotten of her body foreaver. I give to Lucy E Broockes (my Daughter) my tract of land called Boughtons to – eddiculture her to be under controle of my Exertor or admn.
I give to my son Cornelious D Broocke a boy by the name of Jack I wish them to be bound to the trade together by my Exector or admin.
After all my just debts be paid I wish and so say that the balance of my Estate shall be ecually divided between all my children, my loving wife is to have her own land in Essex or the place on which I now lives as long as she remains my widow. It is my request and will that Wm B. Broocke execute this my last will and testament as witness my hand +

This writing purporting to be the last will and testament of Lewis Broocke deceased, was produced in the court by Richard Gainesan, there being no subscribing witness thereto Jones C Cloxton Alexander S Boughton and Cyrus MGegar were sworn and severally deposed that they were well acquainted with the Testators hand writing and verily believed that the said writing and the name thereto subscribed to be wholly written by the Testator own hand where upon the said writing is ordered to be recorded as the last will and testament of the said Lewis Broocke deceased
