- John SNYDER (SNIDER, SCHNEIDER) was a farmer in Highland County between
1820 and 1862. He died in 1862 and
is buried in Highland County a short distance from the old SNYDER homestead.
He resided in early 1800 in
Crab Bottom Valley. I believe John to be a brother or an uncle to Jacob.
Any and all information is greatly
appreciated. Thank you.

- I am just beginning to research my family tree. I know that the RICHEY,
SIRON and WILSON families came from
West Virginia. On the RICHEY side, it is believed that John Borman (spelling?)
RICHEY was from Wheeling, The
SIRON'S definitely lived in Highland county. Joseph SIRON married Jane WILSON
around 1805. Here's where some
confusion starts. I have heard from some people unrelated to me that Jane
WILSON had a son Gilbert before
she married Joseph SIRON. The same source said that Joseph SIRON'S will stated
that he had adopted Gilbert.
I am a descendent of Gilbert, so I am trying to find out if this is true,
and if so, who Gilber's biological
father was, and who Jane's family was. Any assistance would be GREATLY
appreciated.
