Lookup Volunteers
Please make SURE you type the word LOOKUP in your subject line so your requests aren't missed. Politeness at all times, ladies and gentlemen! We are all volunteers here, and have real lives away from helping others here. Make your request short and clear. PLEASE...no requests for "ALL the SMITHs". Do NOT ask the volunteer to violate copyrights.
Cara Rider is kind enough to provide look-ups from the 1820-1850 Greenbrier County Census Book, transcribed by Shuck.
Cara Rider has made a special offer to do look-ups from the 1850 Alleghany County, Virginia, Census, by Larry Schunk, Ed., S-K Publications.
,Jim Bass has made a nice offer to do look-ups from "The Weaver Families of Georgia - Volume I", Author: James K. Bass, Jr., Publisher: Genealogical Publishing Company Copyright: 1994. The information documents the various migrations of the Weaver families from Virginia and the Carolinas into Georgia, and then the westward trek to Alabama, Mississippi, Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas and further.

Guidelines for Lookup Volunteers
![]()
Volunteers may do unlimited lookup if and only if:
The lookup volunteer is the actual author and copyright holder of the publication.
The lookup volunteer is using primary source documents ... whether they are trekking to the courthouse or using their own xeroxed copies of public domain documents.
The lookup volunteer has written permission from the author / copyright holder to use their publication for lookups
Volunteers may be able to make certain limited scope lookups in copyrighted publications under the "fair use" provisions of existing law.
Potential volunteers are encouraged to review the explanations of copyright protection, especially the "fair use" provisions, available elsewhere on the Web.
