NEPHI--Double services will be conducted in the Juab Stake Tabernacle 
Wednesday at 2 p.m. for Maria Martina Elder Sudweeks Reese, 74, and her son, 
Ernest Sudweeks, 44, who died within a half-an-hour of one another Saturday 
in Salt Lake.

    The services will be conducted by Bishop P. B. Cowan of the Nephi South 
Ward. Interment for both mother and son will be in the Vine Bluff Cemetery.

    Mrs. Sudweeks was born July 13. 1864. at Virgin City, Utah, daughter of 
Claybon and Maria Marteena Elder. She resided in Parowan until her marriage 
to Richard Henry Sudweeks, in the Endowment House in Salt Lake.  Following 
their marriage, they resided in Kingston, Utah, for five years, and then 
moved to Nephi, where they made their home until Mr. Sudweeks died. A few 
years following Mr. Sudweek's death, Mrs. Sudweeks resided in Nephi. She was 
married later to John D. Reese of Salt Lake. She had made her home there for 
the past eight years.

    Ernest Sudweeks was born in Nephi in Sept., 1888. son of Richard Henry and 
Maria Martina Elder Sudweeks. He attended school in Nephi, and following the 
time he married Bertha Dalton, had resided in Eureka.

    Brothers of Mr. Sudweeks, and sons of Mrs. Reese, surviving are: Richard 
Sudweeks, Nephi; Delbert Sudweeks, American Fork: Lorenzo Sudweeks. 
Fillmore; Otto Sudweeks, Ephraim; Johnathan Sudweeks, Salt Lake.

    Mrs. Reese also is survived by a brother, George Elder, and a sister, Mrs. 
Vivian Green: 31 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

    Also surviving Mr. Sudweeks are his widow, Mrs. Bertha Sudweeks, a son, 
Arlo, and a daughter, Ione Sudweeks, all of Eureka.

    Friends may call at the Richard Sudweeks home in Nephi Wednesday until 
time of services.
