Funeral services were conducted in the Cedar First ward chapel Wednesday afternoon for
Thomas Corlett, 74, a life-long resident of Cedar City who died at Sacramento, Calif.,
Friday of ailments incident to age.
Mr. Corlett was born in Cedar City on February 16, 1876, a son of James and Mary Corry
Corlett, and had lived in Cedar City most of his life, until moving to Sacramento
about fifteen years ago.
Surviving are three daughters and two sons: Mrs. Reid Allred, Price; Mrs. Max Boschard,
Payson; Mrs. Edward Quinney, Tremonton; Lee Corlett, Salt Lake City; and M/Sgt. James L.
Corlett, with the U. S. army in Korea; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral services were conducted by Bishop H. P. Dotson of Cedar First ward. Speakers
at the services were H. H. Lunt and Samuel F. Leigh, and sentiments were read by
Mrs. Marion Hahne. Invocation was by C. William Mcfarlane, benediction by Randall L.
Lunt, and dedication of the grave by Jethro Palmer.
The musical program included two vocal duets, "Whispering Hope," and "In the Garden" by
Ray Cosslett and Myles Walker, accompanied by Mrs. Beth Leigh.
