Dear Regents-

As you know, instructions on filing the electronic 990-N were mailed last week. A problem has come to my attention and I need your assistance. Due to the critical nature of this problem, please contact all of your treasurers that are filing the electronic 990-N within 48 hours.

Please tell them that this is how they should fill out Question A on the Electronic Form 990 -- For tax year period beginning 1/1/2007 and ending 12/31/2007. DO NOT USE ANY OTHER DATES. Then, continue using the instructions given in the mail. If the form is not accepted or it states that this is not your filing date, then they are to stop and contact me at 202-667-3076 or email me at hqnsdac@verizon.net I will then have to provide them with additional assistance. Thank you for your help.

                 It was heartwarming to receive your calls, notes and cards of good wishes after my accident in DC. I appreciate each one of you so much and send my sincere thanks for your words of encouragement. I am recovering quite well, but not quite up to speed just yet. Louis is taking very good care of me and being and excellent "helper." Thank you again for your care and concern.

The Accession/Deaccession policy is included in these minutes. Please review and send any suggestion to Jacke Barnes, PO Box 1546, Westcliff, CO  81252-1546 by September 1, 2007. The final policy will be presented at the October Board Meeting.

The new order form for Insignia is included in these minutes. We are continuing to try to streamline the process. The Chapter Treasurer is now able to attest to the service of the member on all levels—chapter, state, national. It is mailed directly to J. E. Caldwell and it is not necessary to send a copy to the National Insignia Chairman.

Before the October Board Meeting we are planning a tour of Washington. The information and reservation form is included in these minutes. This should be a fun time for everyone. All members are invited to the Board Meeting on Saturday.

If you have not invited the National President or Sectional Vice President to visit your state please do so by the October Board Meeting.  These ladies are anxious to visit the states and look forward to meeting with your members.
