The Shiro Preservation and Historical Society (SPS) consists of individuals
with an interest in the history of Shiro, Texas and the surrounding area. SPS has worked to help
improve the Shiro Town Park and to document the history of the families
who have lived in and around Shiro, Texas.
Shiro has an active community association, Shiro Civic Association along with an active Volunteer Fire Department Shiro Volunteer Fire Department , a community park with playground and a number of other attractions including historical sites and business. Please come and visit us in Shiro!
Shiro, Texas is a vibrant community with a colorful history and wonderful future. Some of the current business in Shiro include the
Shiro Grocery Store among many others.
