ARCHIVAL GRANT
The purpose of the Texas State Genealogical Society (TSGS) is to promote,
assimilate, develop and conserve
the genealogical and historical resources of
The TSGS Board of Directors are proud to offer this one time Grant in order to help and encourage lasting Archival of your Society publications for the purpose of conserving genealogical and historical resources. We encourage our Partner Societies to contact their local Representative, or one of the Board Members if you have any questions.
The establishment of this Archival Grant is designed to assist Partner Societies in their research endeavors and to encourage these societies to preserve their quarterlies and publications on any form of media.
There is a great need to make
Society publications would also serve as a fund-raising project for your society. The TSGS Archival Grant would be a one-time grant of up to the amount of $500 to the Partner Society.
REQUIREMENTS FOR RECEIVING THE ARCHIVAL GRANT ARE AS FOLLOWS:
1. The Partner Society must be a member of Texas State Genealogical Society for at least two years prior to submitting an application for this grant.
2. The Partner Society would have their quarterlies or other publications, such as tax records, cemetery records, land records, marriage records, or wills preserved in an acceptable form of media.
3. The Partner Society must present one copy of the archived material to TSGS for preservation at the Texas State Library.
4. The Partner Society should return the complete application, a copy of the paid invoice and a copy of archived material to:
