Brand new (never been opened) first edition (1958) hardcover (light gray with dark blue lettering on the spine) collector's edition of this rare, hard-to-find, long out-of-print book. This book was beautifully written by the father & son team of Norman Lowell McCarver Sr. & Norman Lowell McCarver Jr. In pristine condition, this volume was signed by Norman Lowell McCarver Jr. shortly before his March 2002 death. The book's contents speak for themselves and are available online at Hearne On The Brazos. This work is chock full of information about Hearne, the Brazos Bottom, & Robertson County. Pages 116 - 350 contain biographical sketches of numerous Robertson County residents. This volume of Hearne On The Brazos is from the private collection of a neighbor of the authors. Historical Recollections Of Robertson County

This 254-page county history book details the development of Robertson County by the original settlers through the mid-20th century. Primarily focused on family histories and Calvert, it contains historic information on Benchley, Bremond, Franklin, Hearne, Mount Vernon, Owensville, Port Sullivan, & Wheelock. The table of contents is at Historical Recollections Of Robertson County. Pre-publication orders of this book (available November 2002) are now being taken.  This book is a reprint of the original work which was published in 1954 by Anson Jones Press, Salado, Texas. Out-of-print for almost half a century, it's been virtually impossible to purchase a copy of this book for several decades. This is a 2002 reprint of a map originally drawn by Richard Denny Parker in 1952 that was included as a fold-out-insert in his book Historical Recollections of Robertson County, Texas. This book was beautifully written by Robertson County educator & resident James Walter Baker. Originally published in 1970, this book was out-of-print for 10 years until its most recent printing in 1999. This volume is in pristine condition.
