Egbert G. Sessons served the Confederacy as a Private in Winkler's Company
Company I, 4th Texas Volunteer Infantry - The Navarro Rifles.  Egbert was wounded at the Battle of Gaines's Mill on June 27, 1862.  Was transferred to Shreveport, Louisiana, where he was discharged on account of disability in 1864.  He lived in Rice, Navarro Co., TX as of Jan 1, 1908.  He died in 1913 and is buried in the Rice Cemetery, Rice, Navarro Co., TX
