
Graveside services for Freeman R. Reese, 68, of Lubbock will be at 10 a.m. today in the Ralls Cemetery with the Rev. Everett Ward, a retired Baptist minister, officiating.Burial will follow under the direction of Franklin-Bartley Funeral Home.
He died Thursday at 7:56 a.m. at St. Mary's Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Born in Franklin County, he had lived in Lubbock since 1975. He was a farmer in Crosby County from 1925 until 1975. He married Gladys Tucker on Aug. 29, 1932, in Clovis, NM.
He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Ralls.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Linda Watkins of Lubbock and Ruth Yarborough of Crosbyton; two sons, Leon and Jerry, both of Lubbock; a brother, Harley of Crosbyton; four sisters, Effie Talley of Grapevine, Earline White and Imogene Garrett, both of Borger, and Vida Tucker of Gallup, NM; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.

She died Saturday, March 30, 1996, at her residence.
She was born Aug. 28, 1913, in Chesterfield, SC. She was a member of Colonial Baptist Church. She married Freeman R. Reese on Aug. 29, 1932, in Clovis, NM. He died Nov. 21, 1985.
She worked as a foster grandparent at the Lubbock State School, and she worked at University Medical Center.
Survivors include two sons, Leon of Petersburg and Jerry of Fieldton; two daughters, Ruth Yarborough of Crosbyton and Linda Watkins of Lubbock; 12 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and a great great grandchild.
