Graveside services for Thomas Carl Pennington, 86, of Lubbock were held at 4:00 p.m., Monday in the Ralls Cemetery with Carrol Robertson officiating. Burial was under the direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.

He died at 4:03 p.m., Friday, December 30, 1988 in Lubbock General Hospital after a lengthy illness.

He was born December 23, 1902 in Comanche, Texas. He moved to Lubbock 65 years ago from Ft. Worth, Texas. He had worked as a salesman for White Swan for 45 years, retiring in 1968.

Survivors include one daughter, Helen Doris Dalton, Arlington, Texas; one brother; Bert Pennington of Canton, Texas; two sisters, Golda Hardesty of Ft. Worth and LaVerne Moorehead of Dublin, Texas; four half-sisters, Geraldene Nowell of Nocona, Texas; Melba Bowling of Ft. Collins, Colorado; Delois Pavlicek of Lubbock and Tommy Barker of Houston and four grandchildren.
