James Marley

CROSBYTON (Special) - Services for James Benjamin Marley, 89, of Crosbyton, will be at 2 p.m. today in First Baptist Church here with the Rev. Victor Crabtree, a Dickens minister, officiating, and the Rev. Stanley Dickson, pastor of Parkview Baptist Church in Plainview, assisting.

Burial will be in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home here.

Marley died at 10 p.m. Thursday in Crosbyton Clinic Hospital after a long illness.

The Jack County native married Lillie Spence in Floydada April 2, 1916. He moved to Crosby County in 1912 from Borden County.

The retired farmer was a Baptist and a Mason.

Survivors include two sons, Bill of Crosbyton and A. R. of McAdoo; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Harry Jung and his grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
