Services for Jim Robertson, 51, of Lubbock and formerly of Lorenzo were held at 10:3 a.m. last Thursday in South Plains Church of Christ with Garvy Evans, senior minister and the Reverend Kerry Hurst, Methodist minister, officiating.Burial was in Cone cemetery under the direction of Rix Funeral Directors of Lubbock.
Robertson died at 12:20 a.m. last Tuesday in Lubbock Methodist Hospital.
He was born in Cone and moved to Lubbock in 1986. He married Cindy Smith on November 19, 1986, in Wilson. He worked for Century 21 Real Estate and was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Bill of Bryan and Al of Lubbock; a daughter, Margaret Fields of San Antonio; a stepson, Arthur Johnson of Lubbock; his stepmother, Jewel Robertson of Bangs; two brothers, Charles of Lubbock and Dale of St. Louis, Mo; three sisters, Rita Pierce of Floydada, Helen Robertson of Sanford, NC, and Jean Richards of Hemphill; and four grandchildren.
