I am almost 100 percent sure that the person of the man holding the
umbrella with the horse is a Bradley. Probably, Richard Alexander Bradley,
who lived on Butler Creek on the Wayne/Lawrence/Lauderdale line. I have
(somewhere) another angle of this area and he is actually on the horse
with the umbrella open and you can see what looks like the same trees
running long ways in the background. The picture I had was broken (it was
a cardboard based panoramic type) but I think I saved it and kept it in my
collection. It was in a huge box of photos that were given to me by a lady
named, Dexter Ashton. Her mother and Richard were Brothers. I know I have
other photos of Richard that I can scan and send to you to make a
comparison. Or you can ask the people who have the photo if they have any
Bradley/Howell connections. If it is Richard, he had two sons who moved
off and married. Two of his gr-grandaughters are living around B'ham. Let
me know what you think. Sincerely, Darrell Bradley |
