L.B and Della Hutcheson
New Loyston Cemetery contains the graves
of two of Union County's sheriffs who were married in Union County on October
1, 1903: Lewis Bratcher Hutcheson (June 14, 1884-December 6, 1935) elected
in 1930, 1932, 1934 and served until his death in 1935. Della M. Lyons Hutcheson
(August 6, 1888-June 3, 1960) elected in 1935 to serve unexpired term of
late husband. Della was the third woman sheriff to serve in Tennessee's
history.
