I'm looking for the surnames DREW, ROBINSON, & WILLIAMS David Drew DOB 3-1860 married Mary (no maiden name know) DOB 7-1864 had 3 children Ulysses DOB 5-1886 (my gggrandfather), Charles DOB 3-1884, and Willie DOB 1-1888 (this is a female). I have a 1900 stating that they lived in Chattanooga, TN on Slayton Street. Orginially from Dirt Town, GA (known now as Summerville, GA). Ulysses married Cora Robinson DOB 1-1889 (Alabama birthplace). Her parents were William and Bessie, her siblings are Willie DOB 5-1891, and Harry DOB 9-1895. Ulysses/Charles died in 1933 ? ? ? In Knoxville/Chattanooga ? ? ? ? Cora moved back to Chattanooga, and married a "Williams". I'm seeking information on the Samuel T. BETTIS and Jemima (Howell) BETTIS family. They lived in Hamilton Co. in the 1850's, 60's, and 70's, and I believe they moved to Hamilton from Jefferson County. Is anyone researching this family??? It's my hypothesis that they had a daughter, Priscilla Catherine BETTIS, who married Preston BIGGS before they left Jefferson Co. which would be about 1846. (Their 1st child was born 1848) I would love to hear from anybody who has info. on this family. I can exchange all the Preston BIGGS family info., but need help making this connection to the BETTIS's.

My great-grandmother NANCY MADDUX, dtg. of ADAM MADDUX of Hamilton County, married THOMAS MOON, also of this county, moved to Logan County Ark.before 1875. Thomas' brothers WILLIAM HARVEY and JAMES NOAH MOON poss. moved to Ark. too. Would like to make contact with decendants of Adam Maddux who stayed in this area of Tennessee. I recently was informed there are letters written to Nancy's siblings back home and they are still in existence. Would love to make contact so I could obtain something, possibly a photograph, of this maternal great-grandmother. NANCY MADDUX MOON was born 26 Oct. 1850 and dies in Ark. in 1900. Her siblings married into the MILLSAP (S), GANN, FARRIS, STATUM, ELDRIDGE, DUGGER Families. A "CRICKET NEELEY" is also mentioned in a copy of a letter I have in my possession, along with the name of a ROSEMOND FARRIS/FERRIS? corresponding with my grandmother MYRTLE "VIOLA" MOON HICKS in the 1950's when I was a small child. I am searching for information concerning Thomas J. Cox (b. abt 1820-22 in TN - d. 7 Nov 1901 in Whitfield Co., GA). He was married to Sarah Orena Ragan (b. abt 1823 - d. bef 1900 in Whitfield Co., GA). They had the following children:
Thomas Jefferson Cox (b. 2 June 1848 in TN - d. 15 Dec 1928 in Whitfield Co., GA)
Columbus Cox (b. July 1853 in TN - d. 30 Oct 1902 in Hamilton Co., TN)
Thomas J. Cox lived in Chattanooga, TN at some time as his obituary was in the Chattanooga Times on 10 Nov 1901. It states that he was an uncle of Newton and Charles Cox of Chattanooga. The obituary states that he worked as a contractor and I also know that he worked as a millwright.
If anyone recognizes this family I would appreciate ANY information.

Looking for family line of Madison FREEMAN b.@1846-47 TN. In 1866 he married Julia Ann SIVLEY B.1846 TN. They are on the 1870 Logan Co KY census. This is where their four children were born. William, John T., Josie V. and George Wesley FREEMAN. In 1880 they were in Chattanooga, Hamilton Co TN (where Julia was from). Julia died in Sep of 1880 and she is burried in the Citizens Cemetary along with John T. who died in 1889. However, I have not found where or when Madison died.
Any leads appreciated.

(Mother may have been Native American) Worked in Tennessee as farm hand and on the Railroad before moving to Arkansas then Oklahoma. Looking for ANY information about Charlie, Bill or Elizabeth!!!

My grandmothers sister-in-law, Elizabeth J. "Lizzie" BOYKIN died in Chattanooga 4 Aug 1946. Her daughter, Cassandra "Cassie" B. Burton provided the data for Lizzie's death cert. Cassie lived at 2000 Sunset Terrace at the time. Can anyone tell me what happen to the Burtons and who their children were. I want to make contact with the children. I appreciate any help I can get.

Looking for family of Madison R. FREEMAN born 1846-47 in TN. I don't have any other information on his parents. He married Julia Ann SIVLEY who was born and raised in Chattanooga. In 1870 the family was in Logan Co KY. In 1880 the family was in Hamilton Co with four children all being born in KY.
Children were: William b.@1867, John T. b.@1869, Josie V. b.@1873 and George Wesley b.1875. I found Madison on an 1891 Hamilton Co voters list as M.R. Freeman. Julia died in 1880 and she and son John are burried in the Citizen Cemetary - but I have not been able to locate Madison. Any leads would be greatly appreciated.

I am trying to find info on Anselm Lynch DEARING. There is an A.L. Dearing in the 1840 Hamilton County Census that would be about the right age. It is POSSIBLE that he is listed as Anson or other various spellings in some records. He was in White County, TN in tax records until the late teens of 1800....along with an Alfred DEARING, Sims DEARING, and John DEARING. Alfred and Anselm are in Rhea, McMinn, Hamilton area....so I am assuming they may be brothers. I think he died in the early to mid 1840's. My main reason for trying to find Anselm or info on him is to make a connection between him and my gggrandfather, Elihu DEARING. I am looking for the first name of Mr. HOLDER who was b abt 1870, prob. TN or GA. He was married to a Ida Belle MEADOWS, she was b 16 Dec. 1870 in Dade Co GA. I believe his family might have lived in the Chattanooga area. Mr. HOLDER & wife, moved to Florida, where she died in 1968 in Orange Co. Fl. Apparently he had died long before her. I am looking for any information on my grgrandfather J.E. Grisham(Grissom) His first name was James or Jim. He was born about 1879 and died in 1919 or 1920. He's buried at McDonald Cemetery in Hamilton Co. in an unmarked grave. He married Oliva (Olivia, Ollie) Lawson. She was born 31-August-1885 or 1886 and died in 1936 or 37. According to the 1910 Hamilton Co census they had 2 children Mae b. 1907 and Lloyd b. 1909. My grandmother Beulah Lee was born 21-July-1912 and my mother says she (my grandmother) talks about her daddy dying when she was about 7 yrs. old. I am trying to find his parents and siblings. Is there anyone who can shed some light on this very important part of my family tree? I would love to find out something before my mother passses away as she is in the dark as much as I am. Looking for any info on a on both these surnames. My g-grandfather was Thomas Brasseal, (b.?), and my g-grandmother was Mary Wheelen. They were married in 1894-95, we think, and grandmaw mary said they both were born in TN. He was from a big family and was disowned because he married grandmaw mary, or so the story goes. We never knew anything about him except this. He was killed a few months before my grandfather was born,(I can find no records of that either). Janice Worley was looking for information on Hartwell and Elizabeth Earp Duncan. Hartwell Duncan is listed in the 1850 census for Hamilton county, but in 1860 he is listed in Roane county although he is indexed as "Harlwell" not "Hartwell".
He had several children (John H, Marcus, Emily, Susette, & Charles + more(?)).

I am looking for information on the parents of SARAH JANE(SALLIE)ANDERSON, b. 07/28/1861, d. 10/13/1941. Family info indicates DAVID SIMPSON OLIPHANT married SARAH ANDERSON of Chattanooga 10/28/1879. 1910 Census in Cleveland County Oklahoma indicates she was born in Georgia. SARAH and DAVID moved to Johnson County Arkansas after 1879 and then on to Oklahoma in 1897.
