Sam BOND was the former slave of Thomas BOND and the overseer of the CHEAIRS family plantation called Rippavilla Plantation, in Spring Hill, Tennessee. BOND was believed to be the first black business owner in Spring Hill, TN when he began to operate a funeral home for local Black Americans. He was adored by Spring Hill locals.
