The Society's objectives are to encourage and assist in the study of family history. We stress the importance of accuracy and documentation in our genealogical research. To this end we strive to preserve genealogical records for future generations, and also assist the genealogy section of the South Dakota State Archives.

On our way to attaining these goals we learn from and help each other in many ways.

The dues are $10.00 per year for an individual, or $12.00 per year for a family. To print out a membership application go here.

Coming Events

The Pierre-Fort Pierre Genealogical Society meets each month on the third Tuesday at 7pm. Visitors are welcome.

May 20th will be our next meeting. We will have two speakers who will tell about their experiences with DNA research.
