Carolina Rifles - In each issue we try to print the roster of a York District company that was formed at the beginning of the Civil War. The names of some of these men are in no other record.  They did not survive to become pensioners, or caught up in the hard times of the Reconstuction, left the state to seek their fortunes elsewhere.  The Carolina Rifes of Yorkville were part of the 17th Regiment, SCV Co. F.
