| Bluefield, formerly the residence of John Palmer eldest son of Captain John Palmer of St. Stephens. His wife was Mary Jerman, and their children were Mrs. Rebecca. Couturier, widow of Dr. Couturier of Pineville, Mrs. Sarah Couturier, now of Fairfield, widow of Washington Couturier of Pineville, Mrs. Peter Palmer, Robert M. Palmer, now of Abbeville, John Palmer, lately deceased, and Samuel Warren Palmer. |
| After the death of Captain Palmer, his plantation, Richmord, became the property of Mr. John Palmer, and making that his homestead, he sold Bluefield to Paul Warley of St. Matthews. Mr. Warley married Miss Baldrick of St. Matthews. Their children were Benjamin Warley, John Warley, and a daughter who married Dr. William Snowden of Pineville and died without issue. |
