Daniel D. Livingstone



"Daniel D. Livingstone"

There passed peacefully away at the King's County Memorial Hospital on March 27, 1955, Daniel D. Livingstone of Murray River, Prince Edward Island. Mr Livingstone was in his 78thyear and was a former resident of High Bank, Prince Edward Island. His illnesss was of short duration, and despite all that medical skill and tender nursing could do he passed away on the above date.

Left to mourn besodes his sorrowing widow (nee Rachel MacLeod), are four sons: Elmer (Hopefield, PEI); Malcolm and John (Murray River,PEI), Lester (Dartmouth,NS). One son, Clarence, gave his life in world War II.

Surviving also is one sister, Mae (Mrs. Ronald A. Stuart, Regina, Sask.); also one brother, Rev. Duncan Livingstone, Lake Park, Florida. One brother, John Duncan of High Bank, predeceased him in 1947.

His funeral which was largely attended was conducted by Rev. H.C. MacDougall on March 29 from Murray River United Church. Hymns sung were: "Jesus Lover Of My Soul" and "The Lord Is My Shepherd". Pallbearers were: Clarence Munn, Russell MacPherson, Vance Strickland, William Stewart, David Glover and William MacLean. Interment was in Little Sands Cemetery."

Rachel MacLeod



"Livingstone-At Kings County Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, July 13, 1966, Mrs. Rachel Livingstone, Murray River in her 77th year. Resting at the Murray River Funeral Home until noon Friday, then to the United Church, Murray River for funeral service at 2 o'clock. Interment in the Little Sands Cemetery."
