2007 Results



The 2007 Raffle Quilt was won by Sarah Elyard from Bedford, PA.

We had another wonderful Quilt Show. We are grateful to all who volunteered and participate this year. Many brought in Challenge Quilts of the Pennsylvania Block, and it was great to see the creativity of area quilters.

The People’s Choice Award went to Shirley Whetstone of Everett, PA for her Thirties Delight Sampler that used over 135 different fabrics. This quilt also won the Best of Show Award in the Hand-Quilted category.

Barbara Hillegass of Manns Choice, PA won the Best of Show Award: Machine Quilted for her Floral Gray Quilt wall hanging.
The Raffle Quilt was won by Sarah Elyard, a 13-year old from Bedford, PA. She said it was a little large for her bed right now, but perhaps it could go in her hope chest.

The Society is already making plans for next year’s quilt show, with the theme “Indian Summer” for the Pioneer Quilt Challenge. Contact the Society if you would like information about the Challenge.
