publication of the Historical & Genealogical Society of Indiana County,

Completed in 1856
by David Peelor this is one of the earliest maps of the county to show
any detail. Along with the names of the landowners and the location of
their property, it also identifies private dwellings, churches,
schoolhouses, mills, stores and shops. The original map measures 41 by
52 inches and was done in three colors.
The map has been digitally reproduced and each page of this book is
comprised of an individual map of one of the twenty townships or seven
boroughs in existence during that period.
