The Siuslaw Genealogical Society was established in 1980. It's purpose is:

to aid researchers interested in genealogy and local history;

to promote and stimulate interest in genealogy and local history;

to collect and preserve genealogical and historical data, especially pertaining to the Siuslaw Valley;

and to publish a quarterly newsletter, as time and finances permit.
