Canada Census Genealogy Corner

For the first time, everyone filling in the 2006 Canadian Census was
asked a very important question: do you agree to have your census
information made available to the public in 92 years, in other words in
the year 2098. This information serves future generations by providing
them with historical and genealogical data that will allow them to
better understand their national, regional and family history. Public
support and participation in the 2006 Census is what makes this passing
of information from generation to generation possible. Statistics Canada
invites you to change or verify your response to this question so that
your descendants have the chance to "meet" you in the future.
Also included is an interesting paper "Where
Were Your Ancestors in 1871?"
