Family Finders Club Report

Many projects and genealogy research are still in progress. Our contacts have really been great over the last several months.

Andre Head, Seattle, WA is writing about all the quote "black towns" in Oklahoma. He wants information on Elliott, Hayden, Sanders, and others in Nowata County. Mary Elliott, MD is also researching the town of Elliott for family history.

Marilyn Robinson, Snohomish, WA was looking for O'Connor and Thornton families.

Tressie Owens, Jay, OK needed to locate the Foreman Cemetery up east of Wann.

Becky Woodruff, Gold Canyon, AZ and sister Peggy Gerdes, Seattle, WA, inquired about the Hooley Thompson family buried at Riley Cemetery. Also, they are looking for information on Coodys Bluff history.

Barbara Pulliman of Los Vegas, NV, is searching her roots in Nowata on the Elmer Deer and Ora Coker family. Barbara did make connections and is direct descendent of Chief John Rogers of Tennessee-Arkansas relatives that moved to Indian Territory. This family was the Cokers. Thanks to Wayne Fry for connecting Barbara's family tree. Tammy Allen, Thayer, KS is also kin to the Deer, Deere family.

Ramona Ward, Austin, TX found our Nowata website and found her relatives, the Cherry & Ward families of Wann-Lenapah area.

Sheriff Jim Mayes was main topic of Mark Lewis, TX query.

Sandy Zagarella, Orange, CA is looking for Rachel Farley Thornbrugh's obituary and further information.

Jo Crabtree joined Family Finders and is extra busy doing family research for our back log of email and mail. She is a natural detective for information and will be a familiar researcher at the courthouse, city hall, library, historical society etc. Welcome JO.
