The original owner of the Bible was Joseph Dickson. The fly leaf is gone from the Bible. On the New Testament page is “Published by
D. Hitt and T. Ware for the Methodist Connection in the United States, Paul and
Thomas, Printers – 1815.” Mrs. Ivey
made an exact copy of the record. (Editing consists of arrangement in two
columns, and deletion of “was” and “the” in the dates Editor).
NOTE: The [information contained in the
supplement, was] extracted from Family Group Sheets furnished by Mrs. Edwin
Ivey, Kingsbury, Texas. The FGp sheets
contain data compiled by Mrs. Ivey and Mr. Carl A. William, Kingfisher,
Oklahoma. Sources cited are: Dickson-Williams Bible, an old diary,
Illinois Archives, and an 1880 Mortality Schedule.
