Died June 15, 1906 in Wynnewood, I.T.
of dropsy at the age of 66

John Canary is buried in Tennessee

He moved to the Wynnewood area in 1903 from Lebanon, Tennessee

During his time in Wynnewood he was employed with Swingley, Winter and Company

The Canary name is sometimes spelled Kanary

He was originally buried at Oaklawn Cemetery in lot 1, block 59 on June 16, 1906  but was moved to Tennessee by family.  An obituary in the local paper said he left behind an aging wife.  The UDC and the Mason's took charge of his funeral service, which was held at the Methodist Church

John was a Methodist and served as a steward in Lebanon, Tennessee as well as serving as an alderman in Wynnewood

He was affectionately known as "Uncle Johnny"
