In 1892, the first bank was organized with Seth Todd as President. The ladies in the
picture are thought to be Mrs. Pierce and Mrs. Wood. The building is now Mel's Print Shop. The shop on the right was Matt Scott's General Store referred to in the play and movie Inherit the Wind. |
