I have Taylor family back to 1850 in census.
- Mark Danielson, Bellingham, WA posted 19 Jan 2006
I am researching the Moses Taylor family, and that of his wife and in-laws, the Shinn family. Moses died in 1823 in Warren County. His son, Thomas Shin Taylor lived in Madison, IN and Warren County. The Shinns, Jane Shinn and her daughter, Martha Shinn Taylor, were from Burlington County, New Jersey.

TORBERT- Eric posted 14 May 2006
"I am looking for information on James L. Torbert, who appeared on page 477 of Beer's History of Warren Co. He is listed as a teacher in Lebanon 1820-22. My ancestor was Marinda Torbert, who was living in the area in Lemon Twsp (Butler Co). The 1820 census shows a James Torbert living there. My family was living right on the Butler/Warren Co line. Any help you could give me would be appreciated. I have a record also for a James Torbert (married Hannah Winans) and Joseph Torbert (married Ruth Randall) about the same time in Warren Co."
